    Supervision.  For many diagnostic tests and services "incident to" a physician's or other practitioner’s services, a physician or other practitioner must provide "direct" supervision of the service under Medicare Part B.  For 2024, CMS will maintain an option implemented during the public health emergency to provide direct supervision through virtual presence using two-way, real-time audio/video technology instead of physical presence.  CMS will revisit this issue later this year.  Stay tuned.  Adam Law advises providers on compliance with state and federal telemedicine requirements.
